Introduction of SSRU

January 22, was the orientation day. After taking breakfast at hotel, we were going to Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University by taking a van. As we arrived in university, we went to 1132 room. The room looked really nice, neat, and comfortable. In that moment also the first time I met my coordinator, Dr. Araya Lee and Dr. Sumalee. We also met the Dean of Education Faculty and all the lecturers, including my advisor, Ms. Abby. She comes from Philipiphines and she is really nice, motivational, and full of inspiations. I love you, Ajan. We did the orientation such as the introduction of the history and the education sytem in Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. Then, in the end of the time we met our buddies, my buddy name is Yoseph. I call him Yoo. He is really nice, helpful, and care. Its like I got the younger brother here, because he is still in the first year while I’m in the fourth year.

After meeting, we were invited to walk around the campus. The campus is really good. All the facilities is in the good point. Every faculties has a high building.

Welcoming Session in Demonstration School of SSRU

After walk, we went to school. The school name is Demonstration School of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. We met the headmaster and the teachers. My teacher’s name or my mentor is Dr. Phuwitch, I call him Ajan Noii, it is because Ajan means teacher. He is the head of Foreign Language Department. Ajan Noii is really nice and care with me. Whenever he meets me, he always asks me “Is everything okay, Lisa?”. He treats me really well. Even though he is really busy because he has so many bussiness and meeting, he always cares with me. Thank you so much, Ajan Noii.

At the first meeting with Ajan Noii, he gave me the schedule and topics that I would use to teach. He explained me the steps really well. After that, he asked P’Gafair (students teacher who conducted the training in school) to help me prepare everything related to my teaching. P’Gafair is really kind and beautiful for sure. She always helps me with my things. She really cares of me. I love you sooo much, P’Gafair. <3

History

Suan Sunandha" King Chulalongkorn is graciously pleased. To be built at the end of the reign for a resting place. Demonstration school of SSRU is a modern school. It has a really good facilities for students. The academic support system such as tutoring sessions, after school programs, technology-assisted strategies. For the teaching system, the teachers always use the technology to support their teaching as well. Material and learning sources come from the handbooks and teachers material. Teachers also use technology as the material such as Kahoot games for doing evaluation sometimes. Fo measurement, the teachers make their own measurement by giving exercises for the students. The last, they use the curriculum as their guidance before teaching. The teaching plan is made really simple. For example, my mentor only used one page of lesson plan for teaching English through E-Movie. It contains the title of movies, kind of activities, and the measurement. Thats all. So simple!

Thai Culture Class and English Camp

Every Friday, we had our Thai Culture class. We learnt about the Thai Culture including how to make Thai dessert. On Friday, we made Thai Dessert named Rainbow Rice Ball.
